Reflection
Experience
In this subject, I had to think like a perfectionist as the tiniest mistake is visible to the audience. Take Task1's text formatting as an example, I must align every single text box to the gridlines given in InDesign, or else the result would look weird. Furthermore, typography is not really my kind of thing, this might be one of the causes of my constant struggle with this subject. However, after 14 weeks of typography class, I started to appreciate every font made and anything that involves typography, knowing how it was a pain to create them due to my slight lack of interest in it.
Observation
InDesign was a challenge to master as it has too many features to learn within a few weeks. For a newbie for typography like me, I find it time consuming and hard to cope due to my bad time management.
Finding
I've learnt many things throughout this course. I've tried 2 new software within a semester, something that I wouldn't do during my leisure time as I'd rather stay in my comfort zone of certain software. I've also learnt that to do typography, one must have the patience to finish it, such as creating fonts or formatting texts.
