Lecture report 5- Perspective
We were tasked to find 3 artworks with different perspectives and locate their horizon line and vanishing points.

Instructions
Task
We are tasked to do a minimalistic poster that portrays a meaningful or
unforgettable scene from a media such as a movie, comic etc.
I chose Attack on Titan because (as a fellow weeb) I like the plots in this
series, and there are many iconic scenes that fits this task.
Exploration
Poster
I started with some drafts to find the perfect composition, each sketch
is related to a scene from the series.
Figure2.1, sketches
The first sketch seems nice, so I went with it and draw in photoshop
with references.

After tracing it in Illustrator, I decided to find the logo of the
series. My friend reminded me to use Image Trace as I almost went to
trace it manually and painfully, however this picture that I used
has almost killed my computer... It traced every single change of
colour inside the logo, making my computer run at 1fps.
Figure2.3, used a complex-shaped logo to image trace... did not went well

Final Result (Poster)
The decisive moment in this work is about:
- Little Eren has the decision to either hide from the titans in shelters or be part Survey Corps.
- Survey Corps Eren has the decision to either continue killing titans or betray the humans and stay on the titan's side.
- Emo Eren has the decision to either settle with the humans and make things back to normal or kill all living humans

Figure3.1, dissecting Erens
... all that's left is 2 Erens and 2 noodles.
Figure3.2, handless Erens
I started playing with the positions of the composition, I wanted the first few seconds to be a zoomed shot of young Eren and slowly pan upwards to tian Eren. Then, a flash effect to transit it to the full angle view.

Adjusted the audio volume to not hurt my audience's lovely ears.
Figure3.6, adjusting audio (for exploration)
Used the Puppet Position Pin Tool to make the limbs move.

Feedback
For the poster, it isn't that impactful; isn't strong enough.
For the GIF, the front part isn't necessary.
After the feedback, I decided to remove the first section of the GIF.
Reflection
I think if I had planned my time better I could have improve the wonkiness of the animation and the poster. In this GIF I combined 2 clips together instead of only using the vector art exported from Illustrator, making it pixelated... I found this issue a day before the deadline and wasn't able to refine it on time. But the fact I watched 20 tutorials at 3am just to barely master After Effects, I think I did pretty good on the GIF.
