Anatomy and Character Sculpture
Final Project: Polishing and Dynamic Posture with props
Instructions
Figure1.1 MIB
Task
We were tasked to find a good pose that fits the character's personality
and finalize everything before submission. We were also advised to play with
lighting or do some touch-ups in Photoshop before adding a platform below
them to rest on.
Breakdown list:
- Collective shots rendered to show components in details
- Final render to be polished and presented on a portrait sized image. Printable high res.
- Final poster with an appealing layout.
- Baked texture sheet
- Projection to low-poly model
- Character turntable
In this section, I did some further refinements, mostly on the head and
limbs (anatomy). After final anatomy adjustments, I started with rigging.

However, one major problem popped up. My character looked like a
certain tyre company's mascot after the rigging. That was when I realized
I had to rig it with low poly. I scraped the idea of rigging with ZSphere
and went with masking individual joints to my desired pose.

Before sending it to Photoshop, I played with lighting with some guidance
by Mr.Kanan's lecture tutorials. Lastly, I rendered the final version of
the character into Photohshop for final touch-ups.

Reflection
With the "help" of my time management issue, I did not submit the
assignment on time, it was disappointing but I hope I can do better
next semester to leave a good impression.
