Task


We were tasked to create an Intellectual Property (IP) of a vehicle (land, air or water). I must be aware that its functionality has to relate the the world proposed. The ideation process has been listed:

  1.  Moodboard and style guide
  2. Thumbnail Sketches ( 20 drawing in 2 sheets)
  3. Silhouettes (10 pieces in 1 sheet)
  4. Rough Value painting (5 chosen from the silhouettes) - 1 sheet
  5. Design breakdowns - min 1 sheet


I started off with some sketches and went for the 6th land vehicle.

Then, I took the chosen thumbnail and branched it into more detailed sketches to find the best design.

The chosen sketch was then refined and changes were made according to the feedback given by my lecturer.

After rendering the vehicle, I did some more colour studies to find the best collour with the added textures and went for the cyan touch.

Reflection

Again, I enjoyed the open-themed concept as I was able to satisfy my interest in creating JDM vehicles.
