Anatomy and Character Sculpture

Project 1: Character Sculpt 1 - Stylized Character Blockout

Instructions

Figure1.1 MIB

Task

We were tasked to create a stylized character blockout where we have to demonstrate our anatomy studies skills in our digital sculpting.

Figure2.1 Sketch of character

I took my character turnaround sheet from my Character Design module so I could save some time  and decided to make some small changes to it. Firstly, I sculpted the character with simple shapes, then smoothen it to form the body parts.

IIn this section, I added more details and polish the skin for a smooth look. The hair was a little challenging due to my lack of knowledge in ZBrush, but after a few tutorials by Mr. Kanan and some Youtube videos, I managed to sculpt the hair.

Figure2.3 Refining and adding details to the character

Added primary accessories such as clothes and some cloth, more details will be on the way.

Reflection

I felt quite excited to create my first ever 3D character. Although the shortcuts in Zbrush is a little different from what I'm used to, I picked up steadily and finished this on time.
