Sound Elements
The mixing of sound elements below creates an audio setting that supports the action and engages the spectators.
- Speech
- Sound effects
- Music
Sound Effects
Hard or "cut" effects.
Almost every sound we hear at the movies that aren't dialogue or music is a sound effect.
Train sliding door open and close, footsteps, train moving on tracks, ambiance in train etc.
Dubbing
Or automated Dialog Replacement (ADR), is the process of re-recording dialogue after the filming process to improve audio quality or reflect dialogue changes.
Foley
A sound effect technique for synchronous effects or live effects. The Foley technique are named for Jack Foley, a sound editor at Universal Studios.

Task
Audio Editing Excercise
We were tasked to dub a clip taken from the Disney movie Soul. This
exercise sounds fun and interesting, so I made a little more effort into
making this.
First, I used the built-in voice recording software to record my
voice.

When I was exporting my final result, a pop-up came out telling me
that I have to buy a 5 second audio I used from the Premiere Pro.
So, I quickly switch into a new audio and swore to myself to never
trust Premiere Pro's audio library ever again.
Feedback
Week 5 - Audio is too soft.
Reflection
I've gotten more familiar with Premiere Pro with the help of this
project. Of course, Youtube sfx tutorials are my best friend, but the
theories that Mr Martin taught are put into good use. Also, the amount
of embarrassment when my brother entered my room while i was meowing
into the mic is immeasurable.
