Lectures
We were also tasked to choose 3 graphic designs from Pinterest and explain why do we find them fascinating. So here are my chosen designs:
figure1.1
This is a poster promoting a pair of shoes called Biti's Hunter. The artist played around with perspective wonderfully as the perspective shows emphasis on the shoes because they are the main subject of the poster. The difference in the environment in this design is present that tells a story of how these shoes could be worn anywhere
figure1.2
The entire artwork is in black and white except for the woman’s jacket, this allows the viewers to look at the jacket first as it stands out most from the rest of the elements in this artwork. The artist also creatively add a grey circle behind the woman to create contrast, to avoid the woman getting blended with the background. Lastly, the artist uses the closure principle to create the typography, writing the word “tranquility” with only outlines on her skirt, so now it looks like the words are embedded into her skirt.

figure1.3
I like how the enlarged looking figures behind him act as an echo, which emphasises the man, then the logo on his shoes has the most contrasting colour in this artwork, allowing the audience’s focal point to direct towards the shoes as that is the main subject of this poster.
